Christopher J. Cantrell, DMD a partner of Sutter Terrace Dental Group, believes that patient involvement and education are essential to successful treatment and beautiful smiles. With the use of dental photography and intra-oral images he helps his patients visualize their treatment alternatives. Tailoring each procedure and treatment to the wants and needs of his patients, Dr. Cantrell combines esthetic considerations with functional requirements. In addition to transforming and renewing smiles, he corrects bites and realigns jaw joints, balancing the concepts of esthetic smile reconstruction with functionality.
Dr. Cantrell has a strong commitment to quality dental care and patient comfort, which is evident in his cosmetic and implant dental practice. Realizing that perfection in cosmetic and implant dentistry requires staying on the cutting edge of technological and surgical advancements in the field, Dr. Cantrell travels across the nation to learn from the top educators in dentistry. Studying with these individuals allows Dr. Cantrell to provide his patients the very best in dental care.
Born and raised in Fair Oaks, California, Dr. Cantrell is a 1996 graduate of Bella Vista High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University in 2000. Dr. Cantrell graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. Throughout his education he has been active in helping others, mentoring fellow calssmates, involvement in student affairs and participating in research projects comparing the use of dental materials. In 2003, he was the recipient of the Thomas B. Hunt Scholarship Award for academic excellence.
Dr. Cantrell is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society. In addition, he is a general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Sacramento Valley Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cantrell and his wife Lacy were married in 2003 and make their home in El Dorado Hills, California. Together they enjoy a variety of activities including snow skiing, mountain biking, and traveling. Dr. Cantrell is an avid golfer and his favorite activities are traveling with his wife and visiting with family and friends.
