David Feder, DDS is a founding partner of Sutter Terrace Dental Group and has enjoyed a successful private practice since 1977. His strong commitment to quality dental care is evident in every aspect of his general and family dentistry practice.
Dr. Feder actively encourages his patients to be involved in their dental treatment. Through the use of intra-oral cameras, he helps his patients visualize their treatment options.
Patient comfort is extremely important to Dr. Feder. He believes that each patient deserves a pleasant, efficient office visit while receiving the highest quality of dentistry available. Due to his interest in the variety and depth of continuing educational courses, Dr. Feder is able to offer his patients advanced techniques and materials. In an effort to stay on the leading edge of dentistry, his course completion far surpasses his license requirements.
Noting that many of his patients suffer from migraine or chronic tension-type headaches, Dr. Feder researched and tested the NIT-tss (Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppression System) device for the reduction of migraine and tension headache pain. Dr. Feder is pleased to offer his patients an FDA approved non-surgical devise that prevents migraine pain and reduces the need for prescription drugs such as Imitrex as a rescue medication. Dr. Feder is actively involved in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Feder has participated in the “Giving Smiles”- Children’s Dental Program since it began in 1991 and has helped provide free dental care to thousands of underprivileged children in the Sacramento community.
Dr. Feder was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended the University of California at San Diego and the University of California at Davis, before graduation from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco in 1977. Dr. Feder was awarded membership in Omicron Kappa Epsilon fraternity for academic excellence.
Dr. Feder, his wife Liz and his son, Calvin, share their love of the outdoors and pursue recreational travel and educational activities. He is passionate about downhill and powder skiing, and enjoys jogging, biking, reading, and cooking. Dr. Feder supports Sacramento's musical theatre, and is fluent in French.
